Plant Mover

Our Plant Mover Course. Designed to equip you with the skills to operate as a Plant Mover safely.

Aimed at operators who won't be required to operate plant machinery to its full capacity. Training in the movement of plant machinery - non operational duties; these operators could include plant mechanics, plant machinery delivery drivers etc, who will only move machinery in the workplace, whether it be for maintenance/repair purposes or delivery/collection purposes.

A foundational understanding of the industry, its inherent risks, and associated responsibilities.

A hands-on grasp of the manufacturer’s manual for the machine.

Recognising the machine’s primary components.

Conducting pre-operation inspections that adhere to guidelines and legal mandates.

Identifying and maintaining the right Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Operating machinery safely and efficiently.

Taking into account environmental considerations.

Properly storing and transporting machinery attachments.

Implementing processes for loading and unloading machines.

Following procedures for the end of shift and system shutdown.

NPORS Theory assessment made up of open questions and multiple choice.

NPORS Practical assessment.

Good understanding of spoken and written English.

Training and assessment can be delivered on site or at our training venue, at a date to suit.
