The aim of this course is to provide the theoretical knowledge and practical skills for the safe, competent operation of a marine knuckle boom crane.
Who is this Training for?
Our Marine Knuckle Boom Crane Training is suitable for operators of all skillsets, experienced or not. The course is delivered in line with NPORS learning outcomes and is based on a mix of both theory and practical tuition to give delegates sound underpinning knowledge of the best practice and safe operation.

Based on LOLER, Legislation and guidelines, Crane pre-operational checks and maintenance, Wire rope inspection and care, Safe rigging practices, Rigging calculations, Offshore crane safety devices, Safe working loads, Load indicators, Dynamic factors, Communication associated with lifting operations, Lifting operation lifting assessments.
How is this course assessed?
This course will consist of a large element of practical tuition. Any delegates undertaking a novice N014 Marine Knuckle Boom Crane course will also undertake theory training to prepare them for the multiple-choice assessment. All delegates are provided with and are encouraged to read Safeteam's NPORS study notes.
Requirements
You must have a good understanding of spoken and written English. Please contact us if you have any concerns in this area.
If you require your NPORS Operator Card to include the CSCS logo, you must have passed a CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test no more than two years before attending this course.
